Our flagship product, the dcbel Home Energy Station, is a small wall mounted device that gives everyone ownership over their energy supply by using solar power to charge their EV and home, unlocking their EV’s battery for backup power (V2H), and optimizing the energy flow between their solar panels, EVs, backup battery and the grid.

 

The opportunity

dcbel is looking to hire a Head of Network Operation to join our Information Services team, reporting to the Chief Information Officer. The Head of Network Operations is responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting the cloud infrastructure services that power dcbel product portfolio. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise. The Head of Network Operations will spearhead the development and deployment of an integrated suite of operational tools, ensuring the efficiency, performance, and reliability of production services across various cloud environments. The role also includes building robust processes to support audit and compliance requirements.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Customer Care – ensures of the customer satisfaction at all levels
  • Onboarding new clients - You work closely with our Sales, Supply Chain and Delivery colleagues to operate a customer onboarding (B2C and B2B)
  • First line of support - You and your team are the first line of support, 24/7, support by a control center of operation: get customer call, detect failure and monitor all systems
  • Onboarding new Products - You work closely with our Supply Chain, Manufacturing and R&D colleagues to plan an execute the technical rollout of new products, from hardware analysis and compatibility checks to installation and inventory planning
  • Manage new products release – You work closely with R&D, Manufacturing and IS Department to plan deployment and rollout of new products release. Become business owner of the changes approval board (CAB) instance
  • Manage Data privacy – You work closely with the Data Privacy Officer to deploy and monitor data privacy policies, receive customer requests and manage crisis unit and audit request
  • Knowledge Management - You collaborate and engage our internal and external technical experts to distill guidelines, manuals and checklists for IoT devices, heating systems and other devices
  • Communication & Documentation - You reach out to external stakeholders and take ownership of the documentation and processing of materials, documents and requests obtained
  • QA & Problem-solving - You help detect the root cause of bugs and malfunctions and implement sustainable workflows to mitigate them
  • Develop and manage require business process framework
  • Drive the definition and adherence of business case of new solutions and services
  • Adhere to company and department procedures
  • Lead the design, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure services across multiple platforms, with a strong focus on Azure
  • Develop and implement a cloud operations strategy, including capacity planning, performance optimization, and cost management
  • Drive the development of operational tools and processes to ensure seamless cloud infrastructure management, supporting scalability and availability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to both senior and junior team members
  • Establish and maintain processes and tools for audit/compliance requirements, ensuring security and regulatory standards are met
  • Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and Tier 3 support, managing complex issues to resolution
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices, continuously evaluating and implementing emerging technologies to optimize cloud operations

 

Key requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience managing cloud or operational infrastructure environments, with a strong emphasis on leadership
  • Extensive experience in network operation center (NOC)
  • Extensive expertise in cloud technologies, especially Azure, with a proven ability to design and implement scalable cloud solutions
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly with experience in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
  • Experience with modern development tools and practices, including DevOps, Git, Python scripting, PowerShell, and container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Solid knowledge of infrastructure, including Windows, Linux, IP networking, and security practices (DNS, firewalls, load balancers)
  • Strong familiarity with SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) and DevSecOps methodologies
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, guide technical decision-making, and foster a collaborative, innovative team culture
