About the Job
The Purchasing Specialist will play a key role in both the operational and analytical aspects of Eurofins' purchasing function in Türkiye. This role involves leading and supporting purchasing processes, ensuring efficient and accurate order management, while also contributing to cross-country benchmarking initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve supplier performance. This role follows a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day purchasing activities including processing purchase requisitions, issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and resolving invoice or order discrepancies.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (labs, finance, operations) to gather purchasing needs and ensure timely procurement of goods and services.
- Maintain purchasing data and supplier information within ERP systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment activities in coordination with labs.
- Support cross-country benchmarking projects by collecting and harmonizing purchasing data from various labs across Türkiye (and occasionally internationally).
- Analyze pricing structures and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) to uncover potential savings and harmonization opportunities.
- Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, service level, and lead times, and contribute to supplier performance improvement initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports and actionable insights for purchasing and category managers to support sourcing decisions.
- Ensure alignment with Eurofins procurement policies and compliance standards.
