II.   POSITION SUMMARY

This is contract position, based at the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project Site location, with a rotational assignment.

The post holder will support the EH&S compliance and assurance lead on the project wide review and monitoring of compliance with the EH&S requirements of the EPC contract, as well as the Elements EH&S and environmental plans, as well as on overall compliance with the project EH&S program. The incumbent will ensure the Project complies with all legal requirements of Saudi Arabia related to Environment, Health and Safety. This is a site-based role, on the Project located in the northwest of Saudi Arabia, working on 8 and 2 weeks rotation.

The candidate is expected to have good knowledge of EH&S throughout all phases of construction and commissioning.

IV. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

This position is accountable for the following:

The EH&S Compliance & Assurance support is responsible for ensuring the organization's audit and compliance functions are effectively managed and executed. The role involves coordinating audit activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining compliance documentation, arranging coordination and other meetings, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit Coordination: Assist in planning and executing internal and external audits, scheduling meetings, and preparing necessary documentation.

• Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and assess compliance with internal policies and external regulations, reporting any discrepancies or areas for improvement. Establish the system for follow-up on identified and agreed actions.
• Documentation Management: Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities, audit findings, and corrective actions taken.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports for management on audit results, compliance issues, and action plans.
• Policies Implementation: Assist in the implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
• Training: Assist in providing training and support to staff on compliance and other EH&S topics.
• Risk Assessment: Participate in risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Communication: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding compliance and audit-related inquiries.

• Others: - Support EHS Director & EH&S Compliance Lead with any other tasks that site office related tasks.

V.  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent is a mandatory requirement
• Fluent spoken and written English. Proven experience in writing technical reports in English
• Excellent knowledge in developing the EH&S Audit plans, schedules, and audit reports
• Sound knowledge of international environmental regulations. Knowledge of Saudi Arabia environmental, health and safety laws and regulations is a great plus
• Good knowledge of databases and possessing above average competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Familiar with all aspects of Construction and Commissioning Safety and possessing specialist knowledge in one or two areas of Construction Safety (i.e, Excavations, Scaffolding, Lifting, etc)
• Possess sound knowledge on the incident classification (OSHA) and analysis
• Good team player, good communicator and excellent presenter  
• Willingness to travel and be based in remote location, in the camp type environment
