Job Description:

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Daily travel to customer sites, occasional overtime, and sporadic on-call emergency service is required to meet customers’ needs.
  • Provides technical assistance on equipment start-ups, installations and repairs of compressed air systems including “hands-on” work to assure equipment operates to customer’s requirements.
  • Serves as technical support for customers and sales team, as needed.
  • Documents service and installation activities by completing work orders for each job, maintenance checklist and daily time sheets in a timely manner.
  • Increase HGAP's customers’ awareness of how products, services and solutions (preventive maintenance, audits, etc.) can benefit their operations.
  • Maintains rapport with customers by addressing complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques and recommending system improvements.
  • Ensures proper operation of compressed air equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements and inspections on a wide variety of compressors, refrigerated dryers, desiccant dryers and additional compressed air components.
  • Works with Service Coordination team on identifying parts and supplies necessary to complete assigned service repairs.
  • Conduct safety assessments of a continuously changing working environment.
  • Submit expense reports, timesheets and other assigned documentation as required.
  • Follow all Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicate customer feedback to service management team as needed
  • Drive field concerns to closure in a timely manner

Education:

  • Associates Degree a plus
  • Technical Trade School a plus

Professional experience:

  • 1- years of technical training or equivalent experience installing and troubleshooting compressed air dryer systems
  • Experience with rotary screw Oil Free Compressors a plus
  • Demonstrated success in technical training
  • Experience with industrial product manufacturing and processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to engage and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Strong grasp of Microsoft office required
  • Ability to read and understand schematics
  • Ability to work independently or on a team
