Mechanic Technician B - (II)

Transdev in Perris, California is seeking an experienced B-Level Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fleet vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

$32.97 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot fleet vehicle issues.
Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.
Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge
Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

· 1 year of experience as a Mechanic working in a shop environment.

· ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided

· Mechanic’s Tool Set

· Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
