About the Job

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Key Accounts Manager to join a dynamic energy trading company in South Africa. For this role, you will be based in the Western Cape and oversee the end-to-end onboarding of new customers, ensuring seamless transitions and a high standard of service throughout.

You’ll also manage post-sales project activities, maintain strong client relationships, and produce detailed reporting to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement. Acting as the primary point of contact, you’ll play a key role in strengthening long-term partnerships and streamlining customer workflows.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Customer Onboarding: Oversee the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring all documentation and initial support are in place for a smooth transition. Manage project timelines and deliverables
  • Relationship Management: Serve as the primary contact for inquiries, maintaining strong ties with both new and existing customers to ensure ongoing satisfaction
  • Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular reports detailing energy usage, performance, and relevant regulatory updates
  • Customer Engagement: Proactively engage customers to understand their objectives and maximise the value they receive from the business. Track key performance metrics across accounts
  • Issue Resolution: Address customer concerns swiftly, coordinating with internal teams to resolve service-related problems and sustain high satisfaction levels
  • Process & Project Management: Identify opportunities to refine onboarding and account management workflows. Implement best practices for greater efficiency and coordinate cross-functional projects to meet milestones
  • Technical Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams to understand and convey product details, ensuring customers grasp essential energy and regulatory nuances
