Imaging Sensors provides advanced imaging solutions for a variety of customers, including the DoD, NASA, prime system integrators, and commercial customers. In the civilian space arena, Teledyne sensors are the most advanced sensors on board the Hubble space telescope, and they are also found on board the majority of NASA space probes and ground based telescopes. In the DoD arena, Teledyne sensors are integrated into several major systems for persistent surveillance, chemical detection, and target identification, among others.We are looking to add a Materials Polishing &amp; Etching Technician to our team building the World's Best Infrared Detectors. The Materials Polishing &amp; Etching Technician will perform various duties in the FPA Production department related to polishing and chemical etching of materials and maintaining the cleanliness of machinery. This candidate must be open to working 1st or 2nd shift. <h2> </h2><h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Supports polishing and chemical etching activities </li><li>Follows established travelers and work instructions for all work performed on hardware</li><li>Performs Inspection and evaluation of parts in accordance with Quality Assurance requirements</li><li>Documents observations and prepares parts for further processing</li><li>Promptly documents and reports any nonconforming events occurred from processes performed</li><li>Supports efforts to identify and correct root causes of nonconforming events</li><li>Maintains the cleanliness of the lapping machines and changes lapping pads</li><li>Works with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data</li></ul><h2>Education and Experience</h2><ul><li>High School Diploma with seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience or Associate’s Degree in related field with five (5) to seven (7) years of experience</li><li>Minimum of two (2) years of related experience working with semiconductor materials</li></ul> <h2>Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</h2><ul><li>Must be open to working 1st (6:30am - 2:30pm) or 2nd shift.
