We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the Alkimos Desalinisation project.

The Project
The Alkimos SeaWater Alliance project will deliver WA's next major water source - A new seawater desalination plant at Alkimos. At completion of stage 1 the plant will supply up to 50 billion litres of clean, safe drinking water to millions of Western Australians each year.

The project includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels, seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pump system, supported by civil, electrical and bulk earthworks.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of project construction activities
  • Development, monitoring, and control of project installation schedule for Fibre and ITS scope
  • Plan, manage and implement the site installation activities necessary to ensure all site-specific and contract requirements are met.
  • Monitor and report the performance of the workforce and subcontractors on site to ensure technical, program, quality, environmental, safety and commercial obligations are achieved and maintained.
  • Attend design reviews and provide advice relating to constructability, safety, site access and associated issues.
  • Manage changes to scope, deliverables, schedule, and budget.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) working with electrical systems.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) working with electrical systems in construction, industrial, or utility environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance practices.
  • Experience with electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools used for electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and standards (e.g., AS/NZS, IEC, or equivalent).
