Director of Regional Operations

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operations Oversight:
• Oversee the daily operations of regional data centers, ensuring 99%+ uptime.
• Develop and implement operational strategies in collaboration with senior leadership and internal teams to meet company goals.
• Ensure adherence to industry best practices, company standards, and compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational policies.


• Leadership & Team Development:
• Lead, mentor, and manage a regional team of site managers and maintenance staff, fostering a high-performance culture rooted in collaboration and respect.
• Provide ongoing development and training for staff, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices.


• Stakeholder Engagement:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, industry associations, and business partners.
• Represent the company at internal and external events to enhance visibility and leadership within the industry and the communities where we operate.


• Operational Efficiency:
• Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics to evaluate operational efficiency and effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement.
• Manage regional operational budgets in coordination with site managers, ensuring cost-effective operations and identifying opportunities for cost savings.


• Safety & Compliance:
• Ensure safe and compliant work environments across all sites, adhering to all required standards, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure adherence to operational guidelines and implement corrective actions when necessary.


• Resource Management:
• Oversee the efficient utilization of resources, optimizing processes and reducing waste without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure the timely availability of critical resources.


• Employee Relations & Performance Management:
• Handle employee relations, including disciplinary actions and terminations, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Foster a culture of accountability and ensure that performance expectations are clearly communicated and met.
• Performs other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in operations management, with a strong focus on data center operations or related infrastructure.
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets and driving cost efficiencies.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to travel regionally to multiple sites.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
