The Position
We’re looking for an experienced, creative, and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead Mara’s integrated marketing strategy and initiatives. This is a pivotal role responsible for driving brand awareness, customer engagement, and lead generation across multiple channels — from digital campaigns to tradeshows.
As the marketing lead for our dynamic, global business, you’ll work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to craft compelling messaging, optimize digital platforms, and support campaigns and product launches. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic marketer with a hands-on approach who thrives in a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of this position include:
Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Develop and execute comprehensive, multi-channel marketing plans aligned with business objectives.
- Define target markets, identify customer needs, and position Mara’s unique value proposition effectively.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to uncover opportunities and inform strategy.
Brand Development
- Refine and enforce Mara’s brand strategy and guidelines for consistent, professional representation.
- Elevate Mara’s brand identity across all touchpoints, including digital, print, and in-person events.
Content & Campaign Management
- Create engaging, science-backed marketing content: website copy, social media posts, newsletters, brochures, and presentations.
- Plan, launch, and optimize integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, and events.
- Track and analyze KPIs to continually improve marketing performance and ROI.
Digital & Web Management
- Oversee website development, UX optimization, and SEO strategy to enhance brand visibility and lead generation.
- Collaborate with web developers and agencies to maintain a modern, user-friendly, and high-performing site.
Customer Marketing & Tradeshow Support
- Develop targeted sales collateral for Human and Animal Nutrition sectors.
- Drive customer-focused campaigns and events that increase engagement, loyalty, and sales support.
- Lead the execution of trade show strategies and on-site branding initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with global sales teams, product management, and external vendors to align marketing initiatives with business goals.
- Manage agency and freelancer relationships to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
Market Insights & Competitive Analysis
- Conduct ongoing market research and competitor audits to provide actionable insights and optimize positioning.
- Stay current on industry trends, innovations, and best practices.
Budget Ownership
- Manage the marketing budget with a focus on efficiency and measurable impact.
- Track campaign spend, performance metrics, and report on outcomes and ROI.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, ideally in food ingredients, nutrition, or a science-led industry.
- Proven ability to develop and implement integrated marketing strategies that deliver results.
- Strong copywriting, content creation, and storytelling skills with an eye for design and brand consistency.
- Experience in digital marketing, content strategy, lead generation, and campaign management.
- Proficiency with marketing platforms and CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
- Experience launching products in international markets is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with minimal oversight.
- Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Collaborative mindset and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital analytics tools.
