AECOM’s Enterprise Capabilities team is looking for a Junior Railways Engineer to join our team in Madrid.About Enterprise Capabilities Fundamental to our Think and Act Globally strategy and digital adoption, Enterprise Capabilities (EC) is AECOM’s primary vehicle for workshare. Operating across geographic boundaries and time-zones, EC partners with regional and Global Business Line project teams to provide technical expertise, accelerate delivery and keep AECOM competitive in the industry. With a team of over 3000 technical professionals located across nine countries and remote technical anchors, EC teams are trusted to deliver high-quality, specialist services that help to fill capability gaps, resourcing needs and technical constraints on projects of all scopes and sizes.  We are looking for a Junior Railway Engineer with experience in rail geometric design, to join our ambitious and experienced Linear Infrastructures team. We are working on stages as early as feasibility studies up to detailed designs on a wide range of projects, either as standalone railway team or as part of multidisciplinary teams.Our clients are from the private and public sector and include long term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. Our office has an established track record of successfully delivering railway designs for many years, throughout the USA and Australia not to mention Canada or Middle East.You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team for the Europe Enterprise Capabilities Center (Poland/Spain).Here is what you will do:<ul><li>Demonstrate and lead AECOM’s culture – make it happen, support your team, embrace the new and different.</li><li>Ability to work productively in a collaborative team environment and demonstrate growth potential as well as a desire to learn.</li><li>Work collaboratively on international projects to support AECOMs Home Offices.</li><li>Works on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC, with work being reviewed by senior or experienced engineers.</li><li>Performing daily work under Designer’s supervision</li><li>Can set standards and procedures for CAD works</li><li>Working on complex drawings in 2D and 3D including markups and cad works</li><li>Preparing geometric design of linear infrastructures</li></ul>Here's what we are looking for:<ul><li>Proven track record of working on railway designs (+2 years).</li><li>Experience with international regulations and standards (i.e AASTHO; AREMA; Australian Codes; British Standards, etc.) will be considered favorably.</li><li>Intermediate knowledge on geometric design and 3D modeling using any of the following:</li><li>Bentley Open Roads /Open Rail Designer software.</li><li>PowerRail Track</li><li>Civil3D</li><li>Intermediate level in CAD software (preferable AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).</li><li>Experience working in the North America region / Australia will be considered favorably.</li><li>Fluent in English (oral and written)</li></ul>
