Salary Range: $103,900 - $129,900

Job Summary
Lead all activities associated with the Meter Test Center, Meter Engineering and special metering related projects. Provide guidance and support in all projects associated with metering either on a distribution or transmission level. Maintain proper inventory of meters and metering auxiliary equipment ensuring an adequate supply of tested/certified meters and miscellaneous supplies. Ensure state and federally mandated meter test programs are administered and proper documentation provided to meet state and federal requirements. Maintain all metering standards and operating procedures and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide guidance, direction and leadership to all metering personnel including the Meter Engineers, Meter Testers and Meter Stager.
- Provide guidance and support to the field forces as necessary.
- Oversee all activities associated with the meter test center ensuring proper inventories, supplies, materials and ensuring all receiving/shipping activities are processed in a timely manner.
- Maintain inventory control over all metering assets (using SAP as one method) including purchase and retirement of meters with updates and reports to supply chain or plant accounting as required.
- Maintain vendor relationships.
- Take lead role on, or oversee, all metering projects providing guidance, direction and support.
- Ensure timelines and budgets are adhered to and strategic value of projects is supported.
- Ensure compliance with all meter testing activities including acceptance tests, shop tests, periodic and selective state mandated test programs, portable customer tests, and customer complaints.
- Oversee all equipment activities associated with the meter test center including, meter test vans, all test equipment (portable or fixed) and purchase of new equipment as required.
- Maintain appropriate records of meter tests, reporting of all test results, correct transmittal of data to appropriate systems, and ensure that Sarbanes-Oxley requirements are maintained.
- Maintain all metering standards, operating procedures and Sarbanes-Oxley reporting/auditing requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in business or engineering or equivalent advanced power engineering courses desirable.
- Certified project manager desirable.
- 6 years experience with metering or in a related electrical technical field, power applications preferred. Supervisory and project management experience required.
- State of Connecticut E-1 or E-2 Electrical License desirable.
