Responsibilities:
Injection Molds Maintenance.
Injection Molds Repair.
Control, of Injection Mold spare parts.
Injection Mold adjustment and set up.
Design and Construction of manufacturing and quality fixtures.
Qualifications:
High school education or equivalent.
Technician of Precision mechanical or demonstrated experience in this field
Ability to read and interpret tooling and other mechanical drawings.
Ability to inspect plastic molded parts and identify common molding defects.
Ability to assess molded plastic parts and determine mold related causes of quality issues.
Ability to identify, communicate, and recommend solutions for mold and related equipment problems and repair needs.
Ability to completely disassemble and reassemble various injection mold types (including hot runner/valve gate assemblies).
Ability to completely disassemble and reassemble hydraulic assemblies.
Ability to visually inspect and perform basic measurements of mold components to confirm accuracy vs applicable drawings or specifications (use of basic measuring equipment – calipers, micrometer, pin gage, etc).
Ability to do machining – operation of manual mills, grinders, lathes, drill press, etc.
Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical circuits.
Ability to operate overhead crane and forklift.
