These products include, but are not limited to, SmartPoint/endpoint radios, water, electric and gas meters, cathodic protection devices, intelligent gateways, Distribution Automation products, and installation and interrogation devices.  These products are state-of-the-art microcontroller or DSP-based embedded systems, typically with integrated radios, where the electronic design may be battery- or main-powered and must operate in harsh environments for 20 years. This position is located in either Morrisville, NC or Covington, LA.  The Antenna-RF Engineer will be part of the new product development team. These products meet utility, industry, internal reliability, performance, accuracy, and cost requirements.  As part of the product development team, this person will:<ul><li>Contribute to exciting new product development initiatives from concept through transition to high-volume production. The product development antenna and RF life cycle includes analyzing requirements, developing product concepts, performing feasibility studies, component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, building prototypes, board bring-up activities, product verification testing, reliability, and regulatory testing, the establishment of manufacturing test plans and processes and transition of products to a high-volume manufacturing facility.</li><li>Participate in antenna and RF design activities within the multi-functional development team in the development of new products from conceptualization through production launch.
