Water Treatment Plant Engineer

The Water Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, talented Water Treatment Plant Engineer, with a focus in water treatment plant operations and commissioning, in our Ft Lauderdale office. This role within AECOM offers an exciting opportunity to support the Water team in South Florida by working on the new Prospect Lake Clean Water Center (PLCWC) 50 MGD water treatment plant using the latest technology in Water Treatment being constructed for the City of Ft Lauderdale.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• General water treatment plant experience including start-up, reverse osmosis units, cartridge filters, multimedia filters, ion exchange resins, degsifiers, pumps, chemical feed equipment, etc.
• Working closely with a Principal Engineer who is a technical expert on Reverse Osmosis with an opportunity to train and expand knowledge in the field.
• Communicates project tasks between offices with a high level of coordination and communication skills.
• Responsibilities will include review of project plans and specifications and oversight of PLCWC start-up and Commissioning.
• Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives.
