The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer - Renewables to join our growing team in the renewable energy sector. Based in Geelong, this role focuses on solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS) across large-scale projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop large-scale PV system layouts
• Conduct PVsyst simulations and performance assessments
• Perform short circuit and load flow analysis (including using PowerFactory)
• Carry out insulation coordination studies (including PSCAD)
• Design and review protection systems
• Perform DC and AC arc flash assessments
• Support basic project and design management tasks
• Prepare bills of materials and basis of design documentation
• Deliver detailed DC design work
• Conduct feasibility studies and performance reviews of solar/BESS projects

About You

Suitable applicants will be able to / have:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Develop large-scale PV system layouts
• Conduct PVsyst simulations and performance assessments
• Perform short circuit and load flow analysis (including using PowerFactory)
• Carry out insulation coordination studies (including PSCAD)
• Design and review protection systems
• Perform DC and AC arc flash assessments
• Support basic project and design management tasks
• Prepare bills of materials and basis of design documentation
• Deliver detailed DC design work
• Conduct feasibility studies and performance reviews of solar/BESS projects
• Problem solving / analytical skills;
• Good communication skills (both verbal and written);
• Familiar with relevant Australian Standards;
• Good interpersonal skills to work effectively within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment;

The remuneration for this role is between $82,000 - 92,000 (inclusive of Superannuation)
