We have an opportunity for a motivated individual to fill the role of Customer Onboarding Specialist. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for partnering directly with customers and their energy providers to transfer their utility services to Budderfly. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to join an established organization experiencing significant growth.  

Why this Role is Important: 

The role of Customer Onboarding Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth transition for customers looking to switch their utility services to Budderfly.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide ongoing support across all key areas of the customer onboarding lifecycle. 
  • Audit all paperwork submitted by each new customer to ensure accuracy and completeness. 
  • Work with utility provider and customer to obtain historic utilization  needed to establish proper billing terms.
  • Create new utility accounts for customers, including management of the deposit and transition lifecycle.

Desired Skills and Experience: 

  • Successful candidate will have 1-3 years of customer service/onboarding, bill processing, or general project coordination experience.
  • Experience in the energy or utility industry strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of utility billing, rate structures, and tariffs strongly preferred.
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to think creatively.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to collaborate and partner across multiple teams and external vendors.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task, in a fast paced, evolving environment.
  • BS degree preferred.

Salary Range: $30.29 - $32.69 Hourly,  $60,000 - $68,000 / annual based on factors including level of experience, skill set, qualifications, and location. 

 Job Location:  Shelton, Connecticut (company headquarters) Hybrid

 

Compensation
$63,000$68,000 USD

Compensation is based on factors including level of experience, skillset, qualifications, and location.
