The BDC is proud to be a leader in this conversation by organizing, engaging, and empowering a broad group of stakeholders united behind the common goal of eliminating fossil fuels from buildings. POSITION SUMMARY The demand for qualified contractors to install cold-climate heat pump technology is rising in Colorado.Increased incentives from public and private sources are encouraging end-users to invest in heat pump technology. The Colorado heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry, consequently, has experienced an influx of services, resources, incentives and programs dedicated to guiding contractors and consumers through the growing landscape of resources. This expansion, however, also led to an overload of administrative requirements and disjointed resources, creating barriers to efficient adoption.To address these challenges, BDC will be creating an online Contractor Navigation Hub as part of a larger decarbonization initiative. The Contractor Hub aims to be a streamlined, "One-Stop-Shop" resource for HVAC and home efficiency contractors to simplify the adoption of cold climate heat pump technology in their services. The Contractor Hub will offer contractors who register (Registered Contractors) a suite of free resources, provide small business scaling programs, and develop and maintain a training calendar (collectively, the Training Center). The Contractor Hub will also provide a team of “Contractor Agents”  who will offer free tailored project management assistance to navigate the installation of cold-climate heat pump technologies (and related services).   The Contractor Agents will support Registered Contractors working in the rapidly growing cold-climate heat pump industry in the Denver region. As front-line partners to our Registered Contractors, you’ll provide a wide range of specialized services—from socialization and education, personalized web platform tutorials and chatbot training to rebate aggregation, financing facilitation, and project bid strategy recommendations. The Contractor Agents will provide services that, depending on the level of individual experience, could include (but not be limited to):<ul><li>Socializing the Contractor Hub opportunity with key contractor stakeholder groups (e.g., meetings, presentations, webinars, newsletter, etc.); </li><li>Providing personalized tutorials of the Contractor Hub platform, its functions, and high-level overview of the suite of services provided both internally and by third party vendors;</li><li>Aggregating rebates for any specific installation project;</li><li>Facilitating meetings with financing entities; </li><li>Advising on opportunities and strategies to win future bids; and, </li><li>Working on a “per-project” basis with contractors, which will involve recurring meetings with the client until project completion.</li></ul>The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical knowledge, project management skills, and a customer service mindset. The Contractor Agents must be self-starters with strong attention to detail, comfortable managing multiple contractor relationships at once, and adept at interpreting evolving incentive landscapes. The Contractor Agents will report to the Customer and Contractor Experience Manager and collaborate with BDC teams such as Customer Experience and Marketing, Digital Products, Partnerships, Finance, and State Mobilization. In addition, this role will support The Switch Is On Customer Experience &amp; Marketing team as well as Digital Product team by serving as a key go-between and source of truth for feedback on our tools, marketing, and other areas, establishing a critical feedback loop.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS1. Contractor Education<ul><li>Socialize and deliver training and technical guidance on using the Contractor Hub and the Training Center, ensuring contractors can effectively navigate features, tools, and installation opportunities. </li><li>Develop and distribute educational and promotional materials focused on cold-climate heat pump systems, rebate eligibility, and financing options (e.g., newsletter, social media, and marketing materials).</li><li>Support contractors in identifying and accessing available funding and incentives.</li><li>Serve as a subject matter resource for contractors, specifically on cold-climate heat pump technologies, installation best practices, and rebate processes.</li></ul>2. Contractor Engagement &amp; Support<ul><li>Provide responsive, hands-on support via email, chatbot, and phone to troubleshoot Contractor Hub enrollment issues and assist with rebate applications, facilitate financing conversations, and other inquiry tickets.</li><li>Offer strategic guidance on training opportunities, future bid opportunities, industry trends, and approaches to remain competitive in the market.</li><li>Serve as a trusted advisor, walking contractors through complex processes such as application submissions and rebate collection.</li><li>Prioritize support for Small, Minority, Woman, and Disabled Veteran-owned (SMWDV) businesses when appropriate.</li></ul>3. Project Management &amp; Collaboration<ul><li>Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date contractor records within customer relationship management  systems for accurate tracking and reporting.</li><li>Track key performance indicators, such as project timelines, rebate utilization, energy outcomes, and contractor satisfaction.</li><li>Work cross-functionally to provide insights and recommendations for our tools, using feedback loops and performance data.</li><li>Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations for internal teams and external stakeholders.</li><li>Assist in shaping and refining the Contractor Hub’s service offerings in alignment with evolving contractor needs, industry trends, and new resources.</li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with BDC colleagues to support BDC’s overall contractor platform, experience, and engagement efforts. </li></ul>SKILLS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>3+ years of experience in a customer relationship management, program management, or technical education role with contractors, vendors, trades, utilities, nonprofit, government, or mission-driven organizations.</li><li>Demonstrated success supporting contractors and/or installation projects and associated timelines, resources, budgets, and risks, strongly preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of HVAC systems, particularly cold-climate heat pumps, preferred.</li><li>Passion for sustainability, clean energy, climate solutions, decarbonization, and the electrification of built environments.</li><li>Understanding and experience working with rebate and incentive programs, HVAC projects, or other related electrification experiences are a plus.</li><li>Customer service mindset rooted in problem solving, agility, and continuous learning.</li><li>Ability to quickly learn multiple digital tools and provide insights on user experience.</li><li>Experienced in cross-functional collaboration, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to align goals and maintain seamless communication.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to various audiences.</li><li>Bilingual in English-Spanish (written and verbal), desirable.</li><li>Experience with tools such as HubSpot, Asana, Zoom, Slack, Google Slides, Google Docs, and Canva. </li><li>Knowledge of Mixpanel, Builder.io, or AI tools are a plus.</li></ul>WORK ENVIRONMENT, SCHEDULE &amp; TRAVELThis position will work remotely from their home.
