We are seeking a dynamic and experienced accounting and reporting specialist who will work closely with Head of Finance and senior management to provide financial analysis and support decision-making processes, manage the external and internal team of accounting and reporting professionals. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring accounting control over acquired legal entities in different regions in various jurisdictions and controlling the preparation of individual reporting for these entities.

Title: Accounting & Control Specialist

What you will do:

  • Coordinate in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements for DRI B.V., ensuring consistency and accuracy across multiple entities within the group.
  • Coordinate in the development and implementation of internal controls, policies, and procedures to support accurate financial reporting and safeguard assets.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries (at the group/consolidation level), reconciliations, and preparation of ad-hoc financial information.
  • Liaise with third-party accounting service providers at the local/subsidiary level, offering guidance and support in day-to-day accounting operations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and fully compliant.
  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, with detailed analysis of key financial metrics and recommendations for financial improvements.
  • Act as a mentor and provide guidance to in-house accounting service providers, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, auditing, and financial control (Big-4 experience is preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze and present complex financial data.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
