Intern – Project Management E-Mobility & EV Charging Infrastructure
12 days ago
About the Job
Eranovum is a Spanish business group dedicated to accelerating the transition to a new energy era, where renewable energies, self-consumption and electromobility will be essential and predominant. The company's activity as an independent energy producer includes the investment, development, and operation of solar photovoltaic plants, wind farms and storage facilities. As a charging point operator, the company provides end-to-end solutions to real estate partners, including charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and on-site self-consumption facilities. In this way, Eranovum covers the entire value chain, from the production of clean and competitive energy to its commercialisation to companies, industries or users of electric vehicles. The complementary nature of Eranovum's different areas of activity guarantees the supply of 100% renewable energy to EV drivers.
Since its creation in 2019, Eranovum, in alliance with international funds, has acquired, developed and built renewable energy projects in Spain whose investment exceeds €450 million with a total power of 565 MWp, equivalent to the energy needed by 250,000 homes.
The company supplies this energy mainly through its own capillary network of recharging points for electric vehicles, which has 1,600 recharging points planned for the coming months, both in urban and rural areas, and which it intends to increase to 9,000 by 2026. The company is committed to high-power charging (240 kW), which allows charging cycles of less than 20 minutes.
We are seeking a motivated intern with a technical background and a keen interest in electric mobility to support our project management team. The role focuses on assisting in technical evaluations, grid connection assessments, procurement and the development of charging infrastructure strategies within the Spanish and European market.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and comparative analysis of current EV charging technologies (AC, DC, V2G, wireless charging, etc.).
- Assist in the supervision and assessment of the technical documentation to support the evaluation of the project's feasibility and the suitability of the proposed location by analyzing local grid conditions, infrastructure requirements and constraints.
- Support the business development team by helping adapt proposals to technical constraints, anticipating possible issues during construction and operation, and recommending the best technological solutions for each project.
- Help in the coordination and supervision of all subcontracted activities related to engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, including project documentation, permitting, supply, grid connection, and site inspections.
- Participate in benchmarking studies of charging infrastructure providers and technology suppliers.
- Analyze regulatory frameworks and technical standards applicable to EV charging infrastructure in Spain and the EU.
- Help prepare internal presentations and documentation for project stakeholders.
- Support in the creation of clear and structured reporting on project status, including key performance indicators (KPIs), cost tracking, and milestone progress.
- Oversee the management of government subsidies in coordination with third-party consultants.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's student in Industrial, Electrical, or Energy Engineering (or similar).
- Ideally pursuing or planning a Master’s degree in Renewable Energies, Power Systems, or Sustainable Mobility.
- Familiarity with electrical system modeling, load flow analysis, or power electronics is a plus.
- Interest in grid integration, smart grids, and sustainable energy systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
- Experience with technical tools such as AutoCAD and Excel
- Proactive and self-driven, with good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Available for a 6–12 month internship.
- Mandatory: Ability to sign an internship agreement with a university or academic institution.
