Senior Civil Engineer

AECOM is seeking a highly talented, self-driven and motivated Senior Civil / Highway Engineer to be based in Buffalo, New York or Latham, NY.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in completing specific and moderate portions of larger assignments under the guidance of an experienced engineer.
• Collect and analyze fundamental engineering data using established, well-defined procedures.
• Perform detailed or routine engineering tasks, including calculations and basic tests for major transportation clients.
• Propose solutions for new problems by modifying standard methods or procedures from previous assignments.
• Identify and address discrepancies in results.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to entry-level engineers.
• Ensure work is completed within the agreed budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
• Independently handle the tasks required to complete key design elements for engineering projects.
• This role requires developmental experience in a professional engineering environment.
