About the Job
Summary
As a Procurement Associate, you will play a crucial role in our organization by managing the sourcing and procurement process for materials and services essential to our renewable energy projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Development, Construction, Finance and Legal) and vendors to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement practices are implemented.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Manage the development of RFP documentation, bidding strategies, identification, and qualification of bidders. Support the evaluation of bid responses and make shortlist and award recommendations that drive value creation and mitigate risk.
- Negotiation: Effectively support the negotiation of agreements for items related to scope, price, terms & conditions, delivery and contract changes with vendors to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards and delivery schedules.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors and suppliers who can provide high-quality materials and services aligned with project requirements and budget constraints.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to foster collaboration and resolve issues promptly.
- Continuous Improvement: Assist in the identification, development, and implementation of new contract policies and processes, including the incorporation of continuous process improvement.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in procurement, contract management, supply chain management, or a related role, preferably within the renewable energy or construction industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable contract terms.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and familiarity with industry-specific procurement practices is a plus.

Physical Requirements
The Procurement Associate may be required to endure the following physical activities, environmental conditions, and physical demands:
- remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods,
- moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another,
- adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions,
- repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and
- assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
