About the Job
Key Responsibilities
- Controls equipment and processes for the specific technology, ensuring continuous improvement and production efficiency, in accordance with product/process specifications.
- Continuously controls the reliability and the performance of the specific technology on all equipments that use it, proposing improvement programs to the responsible.
- Following up problems and doing troubleshooting on testing areas, supervises interventions due to line stops and the correct restart of the line.
- Assisting new implemented machinery and/or modification projects.
- Assisting to Engineering Manager/Chief to accept the machine, verifying results vs requirements, analysing machinery capability and capacity, checking the safety devices.
- Forecasting the possible dangerous situations and taking action to prevent
- Assure backup of all control system software
- Manages the production technical data (process parameters and software).
- Contributes to the improvement plans (QIP).
- Support/Manage the 8D activities in case of process failure for Testing Process.
- Manages the training for operators and technicians for testing process.
- Ensure that all operating, monitoring, maintenance, and safety procedures are carried out as appropriate
- Report to the Engineering Manager/Chief immediately on problems that affect production and keep the Engineering Manager/Chief up to date on the status of his area.
- Feedback to production by the reporting to the Engineering Manager/Chief about the changes in the process or raw materials that affect the product quality, due to electrical testing data.
Education & Experience
- Degree in Mechatronics or Electric / Electronics Engineering
- At least two year of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer operating with highly automated process.
- Must be familiar with automation, testing system and their use in manufacturing, measurement and assembly.
- Must be familiar with current electronic design, analysis and verification techniques, automation, and testing system.
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills, including the use of MS Word and Excel.
- Experience with PLC programming.
- Experience in reliability and failure Analysis (i.e. MTBF, FMEA, Quality Tools etc.).
- Experience in Electrical/Electronic measure, measurement equipment (i.e. Oscilloscope, Digital Multimeter, LCR meter, Insulation Testers) and system of measure.
- Good Knowledge of SPC.
- Basic knowledge about transformers and coils.
- Knowledge about analogue and digital circuits and components.
- Basic knowledge about mechanics and materials electrical properties.
- Fluency in English
- Computer skills: MS Word-Excel, PLC programming, ability to use the testing equipment
