Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Onboard Site Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic.
The position is open on Brussels (Belgium).

About The Role
Accountabilities
- Ensure the quality of the works (e.g. compliance of the works with the projects design and specifications)
- Ensure compliance of construction activities with the construction planning
- Liaise with Customers /Authorities /Contractors/ Partner/ Subcontractors for site and/or materials takeover and/or handover
- Ensure the compliance on site of the rules foreseen by the HSE Management plan, for the works under his/her responsibility
- Ensure the optimization of the resources (internal and external/subcontractors) in the project on site, having as baseline the project budget and Planning
- Develop site specific plans to be implemented in projects program and budget in agreement with Construction manager
- Ensure the continuous updating and improvement of processes and procedures
- Support the Construction Manager to ensure the material is available on site in accordance to the Working Schedule agreed with Customer and Subcontractors.
About The Profile
Required Skills & Experience
- Working knowledge of Windows and Office Package
- Experience and fluency on technical drawing and reporting.
- Basic knowledge on AutoCAD, MS Project as a plus.
- Knowledge of Signalling, Power Supply and Traction Power Technology Systems
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Health, Safety and Environment
- Available for night shift works
- Driving license valid in Belgium, availability to drive.
Education and experience
- High school Degree Electric/Mechanic/TLC or Engineering University degree or Equivalent Technical background (electric/mechanic/TLC)
- Experience: 1 to 5 years on Site Activities /site workforce management/Site technical control and coordination. (onboard activities) (supervision of Onboard construction or Mantainance works electromechanical) / Experience on Railways/metro site electromechanical/civil works.
- Career Level Experienced (Non-Manager).
Languages
- Good level of French and English, technical and fluent, which allows you to evolve easily in our international and multicultural environment. Dutch or Italian is an advantage.
Desired Skills/ Knowledge
- Basic to Average working knowledge of Rail Transit Subsystem and work experience on metro site works is a plus
- The ideal candidate is inquisitive, linear, self-confident, smart, communicative and team worker
- Workload: 70% onsite (Workshop)
