Digital Service Product Manager

The Service Product Management team is looking for an experienced Product Manager for (Digital) Services in the Business Unit Pharma & Healthcare. In this role, you will be responsible to develop a Service product portfolio and channel digital technologies to new services that will serve existing as well as new markets. You will work cross-functionally from concept to launch phase on product definitions, value propositions & technical requirements by ensuring fulfilment of customer needs.

Responsibilities / Tasks

As a member of the Digital & Service Product Management Team, you will have your impact transforming our service business by developing a state-of-the-art service product portfolio. Leveraging digital technologies & business models (e.g. data collection from machines (IIoT), e-catalogue solutions, interactive real-time platforms) will play an integral part of your work. Together with global Service and the Digital Team, you will set the direction for new service by understanding the customer needs and translate them into service offerings which contribute directly to our business goals.

Your Profile / Qualifications

• To be successful in this role, you will act as an anchor to the Business Unit Service organizations and digital stakeholders across GEA.

• You will work in close collaboration with our divisional strategic service department, local service teams, technical product development & innovation teams, marketing, front sales, technical service back office and training teams.

• You will play an instrumental role in conducting pre-analysis of the market to identify customer needs, product strategy, crafting product messaging and customer journeys, preparing for launch with related activities e.g. sales and marketing including service product training. 

• This role requires excellent skills in understanding industry trends which may require analytical approaches as well as practical by interacting with customers. You should be comfortable working in matrix organizations with multiple disciplines for the successful launch of our products.

Your profile:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Product Management, Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience (3-5 years) in product management, with a strong track record of developing and launching successful digital products, ideally in a B2B context.

• Good understanding of digital business models, technologies, and trends.

• Experience in the industrial sector, ideally with exposure to machinery, equipment, or related industries.

• Experience with service product management or a strong understanding of service-oriented business models is a plus, as well as familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry

• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. You'll be working with diverse teams across different locations, therefore the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders is crucial.

• Proactive, self-driven, and results oriented. This is a role that requires initiative and a "can-do" attitude. You need to be comfortable working independently and driving projects forward.

• Fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch and German is a plus.

• You are flexible to divide your time over the 2 sites (Wommelgem & Halle) and to travel from time to time internationally (to Germany or other locations).
