Sr. Development Process Engineer

DUTIES: BorgWarner PDS (USA), Inc. seeks a Sr. Development Process Engineer based out of our office at 3800 Automation Ave., Auburn Hills, MI 48326. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Note, this position does not require travel.

Apply systems and software experience to improve team proficiency in the BorgWarner engineering development process (Electronics Development Framework, "EDF") to projects. Serve as a change agent for the organizational transformation of electrified drive systems and software teams to achieve ASPICE compliance goals. Analyze systems and software process deployments. Identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions. Use systems and software experience to achieve quality goals. Lead project teams in evolving processes, methods, and tools. Develop training curriculum for the EDF process for engineering. Work with engineering teams to monitor performance of processes. Create and maintain a quality dashboard to report project to organization. Perform random checks of document accuracy of compliance for projects. Recommend process improvement to the Process, Methods, and Tools organization.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or Industrial Engineering and 60 months of experience in job offered or other related systems / software engineering position.

Required experience must include: Experience deploying system and software engineering processes; Experience training and coaching engineering V cycle development processes; Experience with ASPICE, ISO26262 (Functional Safety), and ISO21434 (Cybersecurity); Certified as ASPICE Provisional Assessor or above.
