The opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Tendering Manager to join our team. In this role responsible for administrating, consulting and/or negotiating product/service contracts with external customers.
How you’ll make an impact
- Implementing and reviewing local sales support strategy.
- Defining key targets and ensuring these are achieved for customer support.
- Overseeing the preparation of proposals through internal and external resources. Ensuring all proposals follow relevant HITACHI procedures and guidelines as well as legal requirements.
- Ensuring most competitive offers taking into account the market situation and customer's conditions. Identifying which approach (e.g. direct sales, consortium, or channel) can be applied to better serve the customer.
- Overseeing the validation of terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, pricing) in each offer.
- Assigning and allocating internal and external resources for technical and commercial support and proposal preparation.
- Risk Supporting bid or no bid analyses and decisions. Participating in project risk review processes.
- Ensuring support to the Sales organizations during the technical meetings, product presentations and negotiations with customers and provides technical support and clarification as needed.
- Ensuring (with HR Manager Support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Coaching, motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Driving and ensuring know how sharing and cross collaboration.

Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in tendering, proposal management, and technical sales, preferably in the high voltage substations.
- Leading the bid preparation technically and commercially along with approvals cycle.
- Team management / leadership is a must have experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.
