About the Role
We are looking for a Power System Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of a cloud-based utility analytics product with embedded power system functionalities. This role offers the opportunity to be involved throughout the entire product lifecycle — from design and implementation to testing and customer support. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to transform market and customer needs into robust software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical guidance to the analytics product development team regarding use cases that require power system functionalities such as power flow, optimal power flow, short circuits, transients, stability, arc flash, harmonics, and grounding.
Collaborate with Product Owners to write clear and comprehensive product specifications for design and software teams.
Work closely with technical leads to ensure adherence to product-related system design guidelines.
Leverage deep technical knowledge to propose innovative solutions addressing steady-state and dynamic behaviors of power distribution systems.
Participate in pre-sales activities, supporting the technical validation of proposed solutions.
Act as a subject matter expert in discussions with clients and partners, addressing queries related to power system analysis within our analytics offering.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Power Engineering. Focus on power distribution, transmission modeling, and analysis (e.g., state estimation, power flow, short circuit analysis, optimization, energy markets) is highly valued.
Experience (2+ years preferred) in electric power engineering, including power system modeling, grid simulations, and operations.
Familiarity with tools for power system studies such as PowerFactory, PSS/E, or equivalent (dynamic and EMT simulation) is a plus.
Experience with software development and scripting (Python preferred) is a strong advantage.
Proven ability to analyze complex technical requirements and translate them into software functionalities.
Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary team environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Passion for problem-solving and working in an open, supportive team culture.
We're committed to shaping a better future for everyone. #EnergizeYourCareer and join us on our journey towards a greener tomorrow.
