About the Job

What The Role Is

Reporting to the Senior Director, Origination Marketing, the Analyst, Origination Marketing & Proposals, is responsible for assisting in the creation of written proposals on Clearway’s solar, wind, and storage development projects. The role also includes selecting and utilizing AI and technology platforms to drive efficiency and optimization of our proposal creation process.

Additionally, the Analyst supports weekly reporting, creation of marketing materials, and event/conference planning. The position offers exposure to many functions within Clearway and provides the opportunity to gain excellent experience to grow within Origination or the broader Clearway organization.

The Origination Team is made up of 15+ professionals leading the front-end of Clearway’s renewable development business. We pride ourselves on establishing and maintaining relationships with customers and industry advisors, tracking and reporting trends, collaborating with internal subject matter experts, and crafting competitive proposals to secure revenue agreements for each of Clearway’s projects.

Location: Preference for a hybrid office position at Clearway’s headquarters in San Francisco, CA.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support all aspects of creating best-in-class proposals to support Clearway's Origination efforts (support 1-2 proposals per week on average).
  • Read and interpret RFP requirements. Utilize existing templates to draft the initial proposal for the team.
  • Work together with the project team and subject matter experts to develop responses to questions in the RFPs.
  • Maintain and update a central repository of proposal templates, company overviews, and information on Clearway’s renewable projects.
  • Format proposal documents and create graphics, maps, and images to accompany the proposal text.
  • Report weekly RFP calendar and key Origination priorities across the company.
  • Collaborate on various customer-related marketing activities such as creating and updating factsheets and slides.
  • Support the planning and execution of customer events (ex, conference sponsorships, ribbon-cutting events, etc)
  • Optimize proposal writing by utilizing A.I. programs. Assist in the exploration of additional platforms and shared databases to improve efficiency.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum Experience: Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or another related field.
  • 1-4 years of experience in a support function within the renewable energy industry or a similar energy or environmentally focused industry is preferred.
  • Passion for writing, editing, and proposal formatting using Microsoft Word.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communicator with the ability to summarize technical content clearly and succinctly.
  • Ability to travel quarterly to attend team meetings in Clearway's offices.
  • A writing sample and a positive work or internship reference are required as part of the interview process.

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals.

Salary Range Across all U.S. Locations
$60,000$95,000 USD
