About the Job

Are you ready to save the planet?

We will help prevent a climate crisis by freeing the world from fossil fuels. Our breakthrough direct air capture technology captures CO2 from the atmosphere and produces hydrogen in parallel.

The clock is ticking. What are you waiting for?

Our goals are ambitious. We need people who are inspired and motivated to turn these aspirations into reality; to grow and develop with us.

As our Head of Project Development & Deployment, you will spearhead the strategy, execution, and scaling of Direct Air Capture (DAC) projects globally. This executive role encompasses the leadership of our plant deployment roadmap, guiding project portfolios from concept through commissioning—with a focus on impact, speed, and quality.

A pivotal aspect of this role is the ownership and leadership of our flagship DAC-to-eMethanol plant at Chemiepark Marl, a multi-million investment set to commence operations by the end of 2026. This facility is integral not only to Greenlyte's growth, but also to Europes's hydrogen and carbon economy, producing up to 1,000 tons of green eMethanol annually.

You will report directly to and work closely with the executive team, collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Business Development, and be responsible for external partners. Your mandate includes defining standards and systems that ensure our deployment efforts align with company milestones, budget constraints, and regulatory requirements.

How you'll contribute
Management of the flagship plant
  • Take full ownership of the DAC-to-eMethanol plant at Chemiepark Marl, overseeing all aspects from engineering, construction to commissioning and operations.
  • Manage external stakeholders (EPC, key supplier, chempark, etc.) enabling plant upscaling
  • Ensure upscaling ability of our DAC systems and be responsible for technical downstream integration of our DAC-plants

Partner & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, contractors, regulatory agencies, and public sector entities.
  • Represent Greenlyte in high-level external engagements, including site selection, permitting, and funding discussions.
  • Advocate for Greenlyte’s deployment strategy in public forums, contributing to our leadership position in climate tech.

Strategic & Team Leadership
  • Define and execute the roadmap for DAC project development, aligning with Greenlyte’s long-term growth strategy.
  • Drive and manage the key projects holistically, from financing to assembly.
  • Governance frameworks for project delivery, including portfolio management and resource planning.
  • Lead a team of project managers
  • Serve as the main voice for deployment projects at Greenlyte
Your first 12 months in the role: expectations and deliverables
Months 0-3

  • Lead the DAC-2-eMethanol project starting from FEL-1
Months 3-6
  • Implement strategic project frameworks across active and upcoming deployments.
  • Lead risk reviews and performance audits on existing initiatives.
  • Establish cadence for reporting, team alignment, and cross-departmental coordination.
  • Drive delivery of the DAC-to-eMethanol plant at Chemiepark Marl, ensuring it remains on schedule and within budget.
Months 6-12
  • Expand project team capabilities through hiring, mentorship, and process refinement.
  • Shape the long-term vision of our global deployment playbook.
