Our Engineers will be key to leading projects and programs that help us to shape the technical future of our business – guided by our values of Safety, Excellence, Integrity, and Growth.Role Purpose This position will take a lead role in the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of plant process control and power distribution systems.  Position reports to Technical Manager.Key RelationshipsThis position works closely with Operations, Maintenance, and P&amp;E.Main Accountabilities<ul><li>Become plant electrical safety advisor and expert</li><li>Provide/manage support for plant network infrastructure</li><li>Develop the technical skills of others outside the electrical discipline</li><li>Manage electrical and instrumentation technical specifications, standards, and guidelines                         </li><li>Cooperatively work with engineering teams to plan, develop, support, and implement capital and sustaining projects to improve safety, reduce costs, improve quality, reduce environmental impacts and increase capacity</li><li>Provide low and medium voltage preventive maintenance oversight and enhancement</li><li>Manage Capital Projects</li><li>Assist maintenance team on corrective actions from predictive maintenance testing of electrical systems</li><li>Assist maintenance team in planned plant outages required for major electrical and control system upgrades</li><li>Provide emergency support for the plant’s 24/7/365 operations if needed.</li></ul>Skills and Experience Required  <ul><li>BS degree Electrical Engineering and 1-5 years’ experience</li><li>Experience with 120V/480V/4160V/15kV power distribution design, installation, and maintenance</li><li>Knowledge of power distribution system protection including but not limited to short circuit and arc flash analysis, SKM modelling, and relay applications/programming</li><li>Ability to understand and implement multiple layers of reliability and predictive maintenance testing including but not limited to transformer oil testing, infrared scans, partial discharge testing, and ultrasound monitoring</li><li>Familiarity with co-generation, generator performance, and controls</li><li>Familiar with motor control center system design and installation</li><li>Experience with specifying instrumentation and electrical equipment</li><li>Knowledge of process control system designs and installations including PLC and DCS applications</li><li>Ability to understand IT and control system networking fundamentals and interface between corporate IT group and local resources for managing IT standards and infrastructure</li><li>Experience with supporting and/or managing small to medium capital projects that require electrical and instrumentation construction (preferred)</li><li>Working understanding of NFPA and NEC regulations</li><li>Effective consultant for electrical as well as non-electrical technical staff</li><li>Self-motivated, self-directed, and able to take ownership of electrical distribution and control systems without supervision</li><li>Positive, interactive engagement at all organizational levels</li><li>Excellent oral and written skills</li><li>Possess integrity, respect, safety, and initiative as core values</li></ul>What we offer you: At Primient you will have the opportunity to drive end to end solutions while owning a high level of accountability and ownership.
