Staff Accountant

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Staff Accountant for our Finance team.

This highly motivated, data-driven individual will be responsible for managing financial reporting, reconciliation, and analysis tasks to support the financial health of the organization.

This position reports to the Director of Finance. Work model will be fully onsite in Somerville, MA for the first 90 days. After 90 days, the position will follow a hybrid schedule approved by the manager and Human Resources. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate and manage the month-end close process through financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Reconciliation and analysis of various P&L and B/S accounts.
  • Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounting close process.
  • Work closely with the Director of Finance on annual audits.
  • Perform monthly financial reviews of certain expense types to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial results.
  • Creation of assets and maintenance of specific balance sheet accounts as assigned
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Expense report processing
  • Assist with sales tax/property tax/real estate tax filings
  • Work with regional General Managers to maintain Capital Expenditure schedules and spend.

Basic Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Three or more years of accounting experience utilizing various accounting methodologies
  • Successful candidate will be deadline oriented, organized, possess strong time-management skills and have strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Great Plains, Oracle, or another ERP system preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship 
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation 

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Experience in the service and manufacturing industry preferred.
