As our E&amp;S Advisor, you will be working in the projects’ E&amp;S workstream in cross disciplinary teams through the project life cycle and making sure that potential E&amp;S impacts and risks are being accounted for. In doing so, you will interact proactively and engage with all types of stakeholders, spanning from local communities and respective authorities to international consultants, lenders and the Company’s business partners and internal business unit teams. The position will be based in Tunis and be part of the Corporate Sustainability team which is mainly based in Oslo, Norway. The position will focus on the Solar PV projects in construction and a number of other renewable project developments in Tunisia. This position involves identifying, mitigating, and managing environmental and social risks and impacts including labor and working conditions, and ensuring compliance to international standards such as the IFC Performance Standards, WBG EHS Guidelines and the Equator Principles.  Main responsibilities <ul> <li>Work for achieving project compliance with the Company’s Sustainability Policy, Code of Conduct, EBRD Performance Requirements, Equator Principles and IFC Performance Standards and involve in dialogue with project lenders with respect to E&amp;S discipline matters</li> <li>Carry out Environmental and Social Due Diligence Assessments, Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) and executing on Environmental and Social Action Plans (ESAPs)</li> <li>Support development of Environmental and Social management systems (ESMS) for projects, in collaboration with relevant project teams and contractors including specific Environmental and Social Management Plans (Stakeholder Engagement Plan, Land Acquisition and Compensation Framework, Waste Management Plan, Labor Management Plan, Biodiversity Management Plan, Occupational Health and Safety Plan, Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan etc.) </li> <li>Implement ESMS for fulfilment of environmental and social commitments and activities required for project compliance by regular training, supervision and monitoring of project teams</li> <li>Perform site visits and participate in team meetings with partners as required</li> <li>Prepare presentation material and occasionally represent in internal and external forums</li></ul> Qualifications and competencies <ul> <li>Education: University degree within social science, economics, biology or environmental/climate science</li> <li>Minimum 3 years of work experience with environmental and social risk management of infrastructure or energy projects, preferably with site implementation experience from renewable projects and/or consultancy services, in accordance with IFC Performance Standards. </li> <li>Experience in project management, including leading teams and working with stakeholders at all levels</li> <li>Strong knowledge and practical implementation experience of international environmental and social standards including the EBRD Performance Requirements, Equator Principles and IFC Performance Standards</li> <li>Experience in handling of project related social conflicts, land acquisition and livelihood restoration processes is an asset</li> <li>Experience in human rights due diligence assessments and labor and working conditions audits is an asset</li> <li>Language: fluent both written and spoken in French and English</li></ul>  Personal characteristicsIt is part of every employees’ terms of reference to contribute to Scatec's vision: Improving our Future and adhere to our company values which are:<ul> <li>Predictable: demonstrate clear communication and listening skills, shares information in an open and honest way</li> <li>Driving results: demonstrate determination, pro-activeness, can prioritise and work independently</li> <li>Changemaker: demonstrate entrepreneurship, can challenge, fast learner, take initiates and adjust</li> <li>Working together: demonstrate teamwork, shares responsibilities, can compromise, has a can-do attitude</li></ul> We offerScatec is an exciting, innovative and ambitious company operating in a growing industry.
