About the Job
At Air Products, our purpose is to bring people together to reimagine what’s possible, collaborate and innovate solutions to the world’s most significant energy and environmental sustainability challenges. Grow with us as we embark on building tomorrow together by being the safest, most diverse and most profitable industrial gas company in the world.
Reimagine What’s Possible
And at the European Shared Services Center based in Cornellà de Llobregat, with more than 300 employees, we support the group's various subsidiaries of all Europe and other regions. We have built an outstanding multicultural environment composed by employees of around 30 different nationalities.
We are looking for a Payroll Specialist, to support Central Europe and Central Asia, based in Barcelona.
Join our international team as a Payroll Specialist, where you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing—primarily for Uzbekistan, with potential to support additional countries. This dynamic role involves working with global systems like Workday and ADP, managing compliance with local tax and social security regulations, and collaborating across HR, Finance, and IT to deliver seamless payroll operations.
You will be part of a collaborative and experienced EMEA Payroll team responsible for delivering accurate and compliant payroll services across multiple countries in the region. The team works closely with HR, Finance, and external providers to ensure seamless payroll operations for thousands of employees, supporting both local and international assignments.
As a Payroll Specialist, you will:
Process and manage end-to-end payroll for Uzbekistan and potentially other EMEA countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations.
Maintain and audit payroll data in Workday and ADP, including fixed and variable pay, expatriate compensation, and off-cycle payments.
Ensure compliance with country-specific tax, social security, and pension requirements, including remittance to authorities and regulatory reporting.
Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and IT teams, as well as external payroll providers, to resolve issues and improve payroll processes.
Support internal controls and audits, including SOX compliance, by documenting processes and participating in testing and reporting activities.
Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements, participating in payroll-related projects, and sharing best practices across the EMEA payroll team.
You will have:
Previous payroll experience, preferably in a multi-country or international environment, with a strong understanding of payroll operations and compliance.
Proficiency in payroll systems, especially Workday and ADP, and strong Excel skills for data validation, reporting, and reconciliation.
Knowledge of statutory regulations related to payroll, tax, social security, and benefits administration in at least one EMEA country.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage confidential data and resolve payroll discrepancies independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in a customer service-oriented environment and with third-party vendors.
Fluency in English and Russian is required; additional languages (EMEA languages) are a strong advantage.
What we offer:
Competitive Salary: Based on experience and skills.
We Take Care of You: With medical insurance (Adeslas), life insurance, and a pension plan.
Flexible Compensation Plan: Includes a restaurant card, private health insurance for family members, nursery vouchers, and a transport card.
Economic Support for Remote Work.
Flexible Hours: With the possibility to work from home depending on the role.
Holidays: 23 days + additional days for work adjustment.
Professional Development: Opportunities for growth and development within the company + a training platform: you choose what you want to deepen.
Special Discounts: On your favorite brands for being part of Air Products.
Parking Space: So, you don't stress about arriving at the office.
