The opportunity

Hitachi Energy offers a complete range of power transformers, traction transformers, insulation and components, digital sensors and transformer services.
Our transformers have a global sales network of about 100 countries spanning applications for power generation, transmission and distribution, metals and mining, oil and gas, commercial and infrastructure projects, and mobility. With increasing complexity in the grid, our transformers are also increasingly used for improving power quality and network management. We introduced our TXpert™ Ecosystem launching the next level for digitalization of transformers.
How you’ll make an impact
You will strategies responsible for creating, planning and implementing the marketing (and communications) strategies for the assigned area in accordance with global marketing and sales strategy and budget. Produces action plans accordingly.
You will define key marketing targets in line with HUB and Business Unit strategy and ensures these are achieved.
You will identify business intelligence with all existing and new strategic segments and business opportunities based on analysis, defining strategy/business plans for each, and coordinating the relevant teams.
You will do marketing activities Responsible for the product marketing, industry, segment marketing and strategic and tactical marketing plans to support the relevant organization. Initiates, implements and reports market analysis and marketing activities. Ensure the market is monitored by developing and maintaining efficient marketing tools and implementing coordinated marketing analyses and activities.
You will collaborate with competitive intelligence internally and oversees preparation of competitor analyses ranging from full profit and loss account (P&L) and main financial data to company profile and net sales analysis.
You will be responsible for risk management for minimizing the risks regarding the agreements/prices across customers.
You will ensure people leadership and development (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Coaches motivate and develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Drives and ensures know-how sharing and cross collaboration.

Your background
Bachelor’s degree in engineering. A master’s degree in business, marketing, or engineering is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical Sales, Electrical Engineering or Design and/or Project Manager and/or Product Marketing, Sales and Business development in the assigned sector(s) and preferably associated with transformer businesses.
The person in this role should have S&M Leadership competencies and adequate technical skills to be able to drive value based selling and profitable growth across HUB APMEA.
There is a strong requirement for a solid background or at least a proven experience within the technical discipline of Transformers.
Intercultural sensitivity is required, with good communication skills in oral and written.
Experience in management, coaching, motivating and developing diverse technical teams.
Be willing to travel as needed within Japan.
Japanese proficiency to fluent level is a must.
Proficiency in business level in verbal and written English.
