About the Job
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

- Work with cross-functional teams to translate design prototypes and product requirements into functional applications.
- Implement responsive, performant UIs with a mobile-first mindset.
- Contribute to UI/UX design discussions, helping shape features with usability in mind.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable front-end code.
- Participate in code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
- Stay current with front-end technology trends and suggest tools or practices to improve development workflows.
What You Need
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field (or 4 additional years of experience).
- 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on frontend development.
- Strong proficiency with React and/or React Native.
- Proficiency with modern front-end technologies such as TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience building mobile and/or web applications from scratch.
- An eye for great UX and mobile/web design
- Understanding of front-end performance optimization and accessibility best practices.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience working on consumer-facing mobile or web apps at scale.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and front-end testing frameworks.
- Experience in transportation, aerospace, or rideshare tech products.
