About the Role
Reporting to the OGA Australia Project Lead - this role requires an individual who is physically based in Australia, with a strong understanding of the Australian philanthropic, impact investing, and/or corporate social responsibility landscape.
The ideal candidate will bring their own network of connections or the ability to quickly build credible relationships with funders, foundations, and ecosystem partners. They will be comfortable engaging in direct donor outreach, attending face-to-face meetings, representing the Orange Guarantee Australia initiative at sector events, and proactively securing new partnerships. This is not a remote research or administrative position; the successful candidate will be an active and visible representative of the Orange Movement on the ground, capable of "opening doors" and driving tangible fundraising outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-career professional with a passion for gender equality, inclusive finance, and social innovation. The successful candidate will contribute directly to the successful capital mobilisation of one of Australia's most ambitious impact finance initiatives.________________________________________
Key Responsibilities
Partnerships and Ecosystem Engagement
● Proactively initiate and build relationships with funders, trusts, foundations, CSR leads, and philanthropic networks through direct engagement and in-person outreach.
● Attend and represent OGA at donor roundtables, sector events, and ecosystem convenings to build visibility and relationships.
● Conduct strategic "door-knocking" and cultivate new relationships through both warm and cold outreach methods.
● Build and maintain a network of aligned champions, influencers, and funding prospects to drive fundraising outcomes.
CRM and Intelligence Management
● Maintain and optimise the fundraising CRM (Salesforce or equivalent) to strategically track outreach, relationship development, meetings, and engagement milestones.
● Analyse CRM data to identify engagement trends, surface new opportunities, and inform strategic decision-making across fundraising activities.
● Prepare regular engagement and fundraising reports, providing insights into pipeline progression, relationship strength, and emerging opportunities for leadership.
Stakeholder Engagement Support
● Develop briefing packs and targeted background research to support high-impact donor and partner meetings.
● Coordinate and deliver engagement events such as ecosystem roundtables, funder briefings, and strategic networking events, ensuring alignment with OGA visibility and partnership strategies.
● Manage follow-up processes to deepen relationships post-engagement, including bespoke communications, targeted updates, and opportunity mapping.
Communications and Storytelling
● Align all fundraising and donor-facing communications with the broader Orange Movement narrative and strategic positioning.
● Draft and curate donor updates, partner communications, case studies, and ecosystem narratives that demonstrate the tangible impact of OGA initiatives.
● Contribute to storytelling efforts across digital and in-person channels to amplify OGA’s mission, impact, and leadership position in gender-equal finance.
Strategic Coordination and Workflow Management
● Coordinate high-priority engagements, travel, meeting logistics, and donor touchpoints to enable seamless, professional interactions with external stakeholders.
● Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fundraising and partnership development, providing strategic inputs into continuous improvement processes.
● Support strategic planning cycles by providing insights from stakeholder engagement activities and contributing to fundraising strategy reviews.

Qualifications & Experience:
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in partnerships development, donor engagement, philanthropy, fundraising, or strategic relationship management within social impact, finance, or development sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate, manage, and grow relationships with donors, funders, or key ecosystem stakeholders.
• Proven fundraising track record with successful outcomes from trusts, foundations, philanthropists, or CSR teams.
• Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and grow high-value relationships.
Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and external engagements effectively,
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling donor communications, stakeholder briefings, and partnership materials.

• Demonstrated interest and/or experience in gender-lens investing, inclusive finance, philanthropy, sustainable development, or climate-positive initiatives is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, International Relations, Development Studies, Communications, or a related field; additional certifications in fundraising or social impact leadership are a plus.
