Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk – Battery

Pay: $20.70/hour

Shift/Hours:
12 hour / 2-2-3 schedule.
Every other weekend off.
Work 15 days per month.

6:45am to 7:15pm OR 6:45pm to 7:15am

What You Get
Your hourly pay will be $20.70 per hour. You will receive 1.5x pay for any time worked over 40 hours a week.

What You Will Do
We are looking for dependable individuals to join our team as Shipping & Receiving Clerks. This role involves handling incoming and outgoing shipments in a fast-paced, highly automated environment. You will assemble and prepare shipments, verify materials against shipping documentation, and ensure all shipments meet quality and accuracy standards.

Duties include routing shipments, preparing bills of lading and shipping forms, and using a sit-down forklift, tugger, hand truck, and other material handling equipment. You may also be responsible for inventory reporting, damage/shortage reports, and moving materials to proper storage or designated areas.

You will need to observe and learn operations of equipment while assisting in various tasks and ensuring shipping areas meet cleanliness and organization standards.

How You Will Do It
The primary duties of a Shipping & Receiving Clerk include:

• Operating sit-down forklifts to transport finished goods and materials.
• Loading and unloading trucks with forklifts.
• Assembling, weighing, and preparing shipments per required specs.
• Checking and verifying packing slips, tags, and shipping labels.
• Preparing inventory, shipping, and receiving reports.
• Using RF scanners for material tracking.
• Routing incoming and outgoing shipments to appropriate locations.
• Assisting with general inventory and housekeeping duties.

What We Look For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift.
• Prior experience in shipping/receiving, warehousing, or manufacturing preferred.
• Familiarity with RF scanners and basic computer skills is a plus.
• Ability to work accurately with minimal supervision.
• Good judgment, initiative, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Our components plant located in Florence, Kentucky manufactures and produces battery containers, covers and PowerFrame® grids. We opened in 1978 and now employ 150 people and operate six days per week. We are actively involved in our local community and host food and hygiene product drives for local homeless shelters and support Housing Opportunities of Northern Kentucky and Northern Kentucky Children’s Home.
