Plant Trainee, Mechanical
The Wärtsilä Energy Business – Guyana team is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic student to join us as a Plant Trainee, Mechanical Engineering
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of plant equipment.
• Support senior technicians in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
• Learn and follow safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Document findings and assist with technical reports.
• Participate in on-the-job training and scheduled technical sessions.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in proper condition.
Desired Education
- Enrolled in an Mechanical Engineering program at a local university
Desired Skills and Experience:
Any previous experience in Mechanical Engineering will be considered.
Additional Skills:
- Good teamwork and collaboration skills
- A desire to learn and actively participate in assigned tasks
- Detail oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good computer skills
