THE ROLE:

We are looking for a dependable and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of equipment in the metal preparation area to support the welding and fabrication departments. Your primary duties will include preparing raw or semi-finished metal components by cutting, grinding, deburring, cleaning, and otherwise conditioning parts to ensure they meet production specifications. You will play a key role in maintaining workflow efficiency by ensuring that parts are prepped and delivered to the next stage of manufacturing in a timely and accurate manner. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

  • Follow all company safety guidelines, policies, and procedures

  • Operate CNC torch tables with minimal supervision

  • Inspect, clean, deburr, and package parts according to job traveler specifications

  • Make tooling offset adjustments to ensure consistent part quality

  • Perform tool and insert changes as required for production

  • Inspect all tooling prior to use to ensure compliance with quality standards

  • Set up and perform changeovers on repeat production parts efficiently

  • Complete First Piece Inspection documentation for new setups as required

  • Perform daily Operator TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and 5S checks

  • Conduct machine adjustments and perform minor maintenance and lubrication tasks

  • Learn troubleshooting techniques from senior operators to develop technical skills

  • Ensure machines are kept in good working condition and promptly report issues

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support production and team goals

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification is a plus.

  • 3+ years of experience operating manufacturing or CNC machinery

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and job travelers.

  • Familiarity with basic machine operation principles, including setup, adjustments, and minor maintenance.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

  • Basic math and measurement skills; ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.

  • Understanding of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.

  • Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors or experienced operators.

  • Experience with quality control procedures and completing production documentation is a plus.

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, or TPM practices is desirable.

**Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range. The starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions**

Salary range:

$35,200.00 - $56,300.00
