Our Opportunity
Exponent is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Finance Group. This position will be based in our Menlo Park, CA office. This position will be responsible for manipulating large datasets to bring insights into our business performance.
You will be responsible for
- Collaborate with management on strategic objectives by performing research and developing financial models on topics such as compensation, sales credit, utilization, client/industry data, and return on investment of strategic investments.
- Develop financial reports for Supervisors, Project Managers, Principals, Directors, and Officers that help them manage and grow the Firm.
- Deliver business intelligence that provides forward-looking insight and decision support
- Automate and create a more robust process to streamline current business analysis.
- Develop and maintain reports and performance dashboards, which will serve to analyze financial results, track key performance indicators, monitor variances, and identify trends.
- Understand and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trends.
- Compile and analyze long-range plans, annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Compile data for the annual review process.
You will have the following skills and qualifications
- B.S./B.A. degree (MBA is preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Financial Analyst
- Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, and SQL.
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively across multiple functions, regions, with varied levels of employees and with multi-industry clients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment where critical and very tight deadlines are common
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be analytical, assertive, and creative and have effective problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and work independently
- Experience in a professional services company is desirable

Compensation
The pay rate for this position is dependent on experience and capabilities which will be assessed during the interview process.
Salary Range
USD $100,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.Benefits you will enjoy
