Our dedicated team is committed to making solar energy accessible and affordable for homeowners across the country.</p><p>We are looking for a Crew Lead Installer to assemble, install, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. The role also involves providing leadership to other crew members on the job.</p><p><strong>Duties/Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Assembles and installs solar panels on roofs</li><li>Configures PV systems based on site conditions and customers' needs and expectations; connects panels to the power grid</li><li>Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety</li><li>Complete projects within established policies and procedures</li><li>Ensures that equipment is weather-sealed</li><li>Performs routine maintenance on PV systems</li><li>Assisting the Electrician with connecting PV panels to the electrical system</li><li>Train crew members up to speed on all components utilized during installation (procedures, tools, lines of communication, etc.)</li><li>Check over provided jobs (pack out) before leaving the warehouse each morning to ensure provided material.</li><li>Review plans and count parts from the plan set to verify BOM</li><li>Responsible for final system walkthrough with the customer ensuring quality and aesthetic of install</li><li>Cleanliness of job site and lon installation vehicles</li><li>Responsible for following and actively enforcing all OSHA and ION safety guidelines at their location, including attending weekly safety meetings and safety inspections per ION policy</li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Required Skills/Abilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Extensive knowledge of PV equipment and installation.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of electrical wiring and equipment.</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to read building plans.</li><li>Ability to read equipment manuals.</li><li>Ability to use hand and power tools to install PV panels.</li><li>Ability to use ION technology, such as smartphones, Paycom, Field Pro, SalesForce, etc.</li><li>Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required</li></ul><p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>A high school diploma or equivalent is required</li><li>Solar Install experience is required</li><li>Vocational or technical school training is preferred</li></ul><p><strong>Driving Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Must be at least 21 years old</li><li>Must have a clean driving record as determined by a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Must be able to work at great heights.</li><li>Prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing ladders.</li><li>Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at a time.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p><ul><li>Installation is done outdoors. Installers work on rooftops but also sometimes work in attics and crawl spaces to connect panels to the electrical grid.</li><li>Installers work as part of a team.
