Job Description

Job purpose

Collaborate and build relationship with global business process operational teams as trusted specialist in order to drive both process and technology improvement projects in the Source-to-Pay process area, specifically in Accounts Payables (and downstream procurement/purchasing). Proactively identify project opportunities using metrics, improve efficiencies related to productivity and KPI-s using lean principles and general CI tools; actively participate in local improvements as well as in global strategic supply chain initiatives and enterprise growth initiatives. Support growth via proactively seeking waste elimination, represent CI culture as a role model. Assume the role of a functional expert (SME) but be prepared to act as a junior project manager for top-down initiatives (PM skills).

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payables (additional expertise on procurement is an advantage)
  • 3+ years of process improvement / project management experience
  • E2E expertise on Accounts Payables (additional expertise on procurement is an advantage)
  • Intermediate CI experience, complex improvement projects delivered in the past
  • Advanced SAP knowledge, knowledge over SAP VIM
  • Proficient User of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Ability to participate in cross-functional teamwork
  • Ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, and organized manner
  • Data driven, strategic thinking
  • Basic programming skills (e.g. VBA), tech-savvy mindset; experience in automation is an advantage
  • Knowledge on Six Sigma / Lean is a great advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Role

  • Represent the Source-To-Pay process area on cross-functional meetings; work with the global  Source-To-Pay operational teams and other departments, to identify project opportunities, improve processes and to address legal/technology changes; exercise networking in order to explore wastes in existing processes: organize routine meetings/brainstorming events with local supervisors and teams to collect process gaps and improvement ideas (gemba walks); participate on lean projects as project team member in case the initiative is on growth enablement/governance
  • Monitor process incidents and exceptions via exercising hypercare/project control and define corrective actions through invoking management of process change; prepare measurement & analysis for decisions on process/technology changes; build roadmap and program plan proposals; support technology changes as a functional expert during development and UAT; actively participate in knowledge retention for Source-To-Pay operations stakeholders on processes changes
  • Collaborate with PMO/BPEX project managers to infuse SME mindset with PM skills; maintain project initiative tracker, create transparency on progress on project work; lead cross-functional projects with clear project management methodology: problem definition, measurement, analysis, implement/design and control/hypercare phases
