Responsibilities:

• The job holder should together with the line manager, develop appropriate strategies, targets and measures in the areas of "HSE" for the management, taking into account customer requirements, and make a significant contribution to their implementation;

• Set standards for KL companies, support them in setting up and operating appropriate systems and work towards sufficient standardization;

• Ensure a regular exchange of information within the Group (e.g. through audits, meetings, conferences, intranet, etc.);

• Coordinate and drive forward the implementation and further development of environmental and occupational health and safety projects to be carried out in the company in consultation with the line manager, as well as establishing and further developing a self-learning safety and environmental culture

Qualifications:

• Has a successful obtained a degree (Dr.; Diploma; Dipl.-Ing.; Master) in natural sciences from a university with several years of experience in the field of quality/environmental management in a manufacturing company

Has or obtains further training:

• Theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field of modern HSE management
• Team and cooperation-oriented management style (with corresponding hard/soft skills, social competence)
• Strong communication skills and assertiveness at both lateral and hierarchical levels
• Qualification as an auditor or safety specialist or authorized person in an area relevant to environmental protection (emissions, water, hazardous goods, etc.)
• Basic knowledge in the interpretation/interpretation of legal texts (HSE related)
• Stamina and willingness to travel frequently
• Very good written and spoken English and preferred German language skills
