POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Advisory role is pivotal in driving strategic business value by optimizing production planning processes and enhancing efficiency within SAP and related systems. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in business process optimization, particularly in production planning, and demonstrate a strong ability to align IT strategies with overarching business objectives. This individual will be instrumental in achieving business outcomes by educating, advising, and implementing SAP standard functionalities and methodologies that meet strategic business needs.

Additionally, the candidate will provide ongoing governance, guidance, and strategic direction to the DMS SAP Excellence Council & Community of Practice.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Business Value and Process Improvement:

• Drive strategic value through business process improvements in SAP and adjacent systems using methodologies like Six Sigma and value stream mapping.

• Make recommendations to the business that align with the IT strategy, considering cost, timing, and resource constraints.

• Recommend best practices and suggest improvements to existing processes to achieve strategic goals.

• Drive and align process improvements and solutions to support strategic business unit changes.

Support and Collaboration:

• Support local IT managers and plants (RUs) in defining key users for the functions they use in SAP.

• Assist the OneSAP Team in developing training materials and interacting with the Key User Community.

• Facilitate strategic interaction between the plants and the OneSAP team (or other service delivery teams, external partners) to deliver clear, measurable, and achievable requirements.

• Support the OneSAP team (or other service delivery teams, external partners) in understanding and delivering solutions to the plants.

Knowledge Management and Development:

• Build a knowledge base of the applications, solutions, and processes that have been implemented and can be reused across business units.

• Recommend, promote, and develop the key user role structure and support model.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology or similar

• 7+ years SAP Production Planning experience  

• Expertise in Six Sigma and/or value stream mapping.

• Proven experience in business process improvement and efficiency enhancement

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to make strategic recommendations that align with IT and business goals

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to understand complex business requirements
