About the Job
To name a few, projects may include:
- Legacy oil and gas well reclamation sites in Wyoming and Colorado.
- Support of CERCLA (Superfund) sites in New Mexico and Montana.
- Driving investigation and remedial actions on brownfield sites across the country.
What you will be doing at Woodard & Curran:
- Collecting soil, groundwater, and other environmental media samples to support site investigation and remediation objectives.
- Installing monitoring wells, performing remediation monitoring, and overseeing contractors.
- Assist field investigations and provide construction oversight by following safety policies, thoroughly understanding specifications, and documenting contractor activities and safety procedures.
- Assisting in preparing various regulatory submittals, technical memoranda, and/or reports.
- Manage, analyze, evaluate, and interpret data for use in reports and other visualizations, including maps, charts, and 3D models.
- Candidate should be a self-starter and possess strong technical fieldwork and writing skills to support various science and engineering projects.
- Detail-oriented, have excellent verbal communication skills combined with a positive attitude, and can work independently and within teams.
What you will need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental science, or related field from an accredited program. M.S. preferred.
- A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience working around construction equipment and/or in a construction environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing project work plans, schedules, and budgets is a plus.
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is a plus, but we will train.
