Staff Software Engineer, Cloud Microservices

We are currently seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test for our IOT And Transactional Data Operations team. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches their work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their attention to building scalable test automation frameworks for mobile and web. Your work will directly accelerate product delivery by integrating with our CI/CD pipelines, helping teams ship high-quality software faster. 

The Role: 

• As an SDET, Creating and designing automation frameworks that work across multiple services and platforms. 

• Creating both manual and automation tests for new features and services. 

• Play a key role in setting up the testing strategy and tools for testing cloud software systems and features from the ground up. 

• You will participate in manual testing, to test a wide range of cloud technologies both in isolation and within the larger product ecosystem 

• The successful candidate for this role will be obsessed with finding and categorizing bugs, ensuring feature completeness and assessing reliability and performance of cloud systems. 

• Building automated tests using existing tools and frameworks to expose defects in product code. 

• Working directly with Software Developers, Product Managers, and Technical Program Managers to ensure proper development and quality of our applications and platforms. 

• Ability to understand products requirements and develop the right strategy for automation focus for the best coverage and reliability for the time invested. 

• Innovating new tools that the team could utilize. 

• Ensure code reviews tend to be rapid and uneventful. Provide useful code reviews for changes submitted by others. 
• Dive deep into our testing methodologies to transform manual quality processes to highly automated quality solutions. 

Qualifications: 

• B.S. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience   

• 6+ year of test automation frameworks and tools building experience 

• 3+ years of professional software development testing experience 

• Experience in delivering test frameworks, test tools and services 

• Experience in writing automation and automated test infrastructure.  
• Experience in at least one modern programming language such as Go, Java or Python 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Strong experience in API and Backend testing (Manual & Automation) of cloud technologies 

• Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment 

• Experienced in Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
