Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a Test Technician specializing in validation and integration activities related to battery module testing. As a Test Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the commissioning and uninterrupted operation of battery cells and modules. This position requires hands-on skills, a creative approach, and troubleshooting mindset in order to execute integration effectively.
What you'll do:
Validate electrical systems in order to ensure successful integration using proprietary software and protocols
Commission electrochemical devices and their test stands so they can be put and stay on test for the test duration
Support the execution of performance testing, attain data, and communicate findings to Engineering to improve performance
Support the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for commissioning and performance testing tasks
Maintain and troubleshoot electrochemical test instruments and electromechanical equipment for duration of active tests to maximize total availability of test systems
Support test development team with setting up, troubleshooting and executing one off tests
Log maintenance activities, and document findings and testing metrics for performance traceability
Safely handle corrosive materials and follow instructions to properly use and dispose of them
What you'll bring:
Proven experience (>2 years) in complex electromechanical systems validation and operation
Aptitude in troubleshooting, software, electrical work and willingness to learn
Familiarity with common electrical, HVAC, and plumbing components such as fuses, power supplies, fans, pumps, valves, etc.
Knowledge of chemical and electrical safety practices; NFPA 70E training a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and troubleshoot a variety of electromechanical issues.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
