Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the entire project and ensuring it adheres to the established timelines and budget.
• Coordinating with other project stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and government agencies.

• Developing detailed design plans for runways, taxiways, aprons, and other airport infrastructure.
• Ensuring compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
• Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments.
• Collaborating with architects and other engineers to integrate civil engineering elements into the airport's overall design.

• Implementing quality control procedures to ensure the construction adheres to design specifications and meets industry standards.
• Conducting regular inspections and quality audits.
• Addressing and resolving any design or construction issues that may arise.

• Developing and managing project budgets.
• Tracking project costs and expenditures.
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending changes when necessary.

• Managing contracts with construction firms and subcontractors.
• Reviewing and negotiating contract terms and conditions.
• Ensuring that all parties involved adhere to contract requirements.

• Identifying potential risks to the project and developing mitigation plans.
• Monitoring and managing project risks throughout the construction process.

• Ensuring that all civil engineering aspects of the airport project comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Obtaining necessary permits and approvals.

• Implementing environmental sustainability practices and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
• Managing environmental impact assessments and mitigation efforts.
• Leading a team of civil engineers and other professionals.

• Providing guidance, mentoring, and technical support to junior engineers and staff.

• Maintaining detailed project documentation, including drawings, reports, and correspondence.
• Preparing regular progress reports for stakeholders and management.

• Regularly communicating with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address concerns.
• Promoting a culture of safety on the construction site and ensuring that all safety regulations are followed.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
• Proven experience (15 years) in civil engineering, with a focus on large infrastructure projects, preferably including airports or transportation facilities.
• Strong expertise in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering tools.
