The role
We are looking for an Accountant for a road project based in Gilgit, Pakistan. The candidate must have extensive experience in financial management, bookkeeping, and software proficiency, particularly in road infrastructure projects, to ensure effective financial record-keeping, budget monitoring, and timely preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and manage budgets for the project, ensuring proper allocation and tracking of funds.
- Generate timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor and control project expenses, ensuring alignment with the approved budget.
- Assist in financial audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to audit queries.
- Utilize accounting software for efficient financial data entry and report generation.
With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- Tertiary qualifications or a related discipline (e.g. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field)
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in road infrastructure or construction projects.
- Proficiency in Ms. Office & accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar tools)..
